Day 15: Print speed and Extrude scale

There are 5 speed sets in the Catfish. User can add custom set to get better quality or shorten print time.

The speed should between 20~80mm/s. Set speed under 20 if there are complex details on printed model. The print quality will decrease with a high speed of over 80mm/s.

The profile should be lower than others for better quality, and set the infill and support hatch to hight speed for save print time.

The jerk, jerk length and jump are not work in current version. Raft base speed is applied on the first layer of raft. and the speed of other raft layers is Raft speed. Don’t set the raft base speed over 20.

There is one parameter in Support Peel group: Bond strength. It is most easy to peel support from model with 0 value. The low value maybe cause the model to wobble when printing or a lower quality on bottom surface.

Most users don’t need change the Extrude scale. The Catfish calulate how much materials should be extrude out accroding to layer thickness and path width. Ideally the scale should be 1.0. The printed model will become hard and dense with the scale over 1.0. The value below 1.0 would produce voids in the model.

The default scale of bottom is 0.8 to reduce bond strength of support with model. The default scale of Raft Base is 3.5 to stick the raft firmly on the platform.
